This landscape by Ocom is a charming depiction of a Kampala street. In the scene he paints, it looks like people are rushing home as it threatens to rain. Before he was a great oil painter, Ocom was a terrific water-colorist, making pictures in the rugged, free style of A Road to Home. There is much to admire in Ocom’s color choices.
